Subject: Preacher Thoughts
We have decided
that your preacher will email you daily for a time...
So GOOD MORNING!
Ps 118:24 This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be
glad in it.
From something Sherry Sanchez sent me...
“A truly HAPPY person is one that can enjoy the scenery
on a detour.”
I like that! I think that’s where I am in this crazy time we live
in. I am fighting with several things that seem dangerous to me and
my family.
1. A tendency to feel depressed, maybe even angry.
2. A tendency to be undirected. Nothing has to be done, I can do
nothing.
[may I note that as an elder and
preacher... more needs to be done now than ever]
3. I recognize a potential for energy decline. Again, there are no
events to energize!
4. A confusion problem. Why this? Where are we headed?
How bad can it get?
How do I worship? What are my
elders doing? How can I help?
5. A FEAR problem. Could one of my loved ones [family, YOU, me] get
this virus?
What would be the consequences?
These are real thoughts and feelings. As human beings we share them don’t
we? WE MUST!
SO WHAT CAN I DO? WHAT SHOULD BE MAY RESPONSE?
1. A great time to WAIT ON THE LORD! A TIME TO SIT and
ABSORB! READ
A time to PRAY in the Spirit... Deeply,
meaningfully, specifically
2. Cath and I have decided we can actively encourage via
phone/text/email. If all of us do that, we can stay connected
electronically to some degree! Call someone and tell them you are
thinking about them. Read them a favorite scripture. Share a prayer...
There’s no formula here... PROJECT YOUR PRESENCE
into another’s LIFE!
A
LOVING VOICE IS POWERFUL!
IF WE ARE TO BE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, NOW OF ALL TIMES IS THE TIME!
OUR
FAITH MUST SHOW... IT MUST ACT!
WE NEED TO BRING...
POWER AND
POSITIVITY AND JESUS TO A TROUBLED WORLD!
I can do this....
SEVERAL TIMES EACH DAY, PRAY FOR US... THINK ABOUT EACH
MEMBER...
GET
A COPY OF THE CHURCH DIRECTORY IN FRONT OF YOU!
LOOK AT A NAME AND
THINK... “I LOVE YOU!” PRAY!
I love you all...
